How might we cultivate a deep understanding of Planetary Citizenship? In this special session, we have the honor to welcome Kaichi Sugiyama, the inventor of the novel Earth Calendar: HELIO COMPASS. We invite you to learn with us about this emerging Planetary Temporality, the astronomical significance of the Vernal Equinox, and how we can dance in tune with the rhythms of stars and the universe.(This session is linked with the Wisdom from Japan: Shugendo and Relational Living session held on the 20th of March – make sure to join both!)

・Kaichi Sugiyama（the inventor of the novel Earth Calendar）
Born in 1977 in Shizuoka, Japan. He began researching the world's calendars by himself, and in 2007, he invented "HELIO COMPASS” which allows us to grasp(the) time on a global scale. He is a researcher in many fields including astronomy, agriculture, and education and a member of the Japanese Calendar Society and the Japan Association for Calendars and Culture Promotion.
